Prenatal Yoga

Appropriate yoga during pregnancy helps with any mindfulness routine. The focus on breath while practicing different positions can help to stay in the present moment and not feel overwhelmed by the physical and emotional experience of pregnancy, labor and delivery.

An example prenatal yoga routine is below.

Caution: Get approval from your healthcare provider prior to starting any exercise routine. Do not overextend yourself. Do not use your back to bend nor twist. Do not engage in exercise, including yoga, in hot temperatures.
